Facilities services
The area of responsibility of the Facilities Services division is divided into the following larger areas:
- Day-to-day management and maintenance of buildings
- Renting of premises
- Renovation of buildings
- Construction of new sites
- Sale of real estate
Facilities Management has divided the properties it manages into different groups, which are:
- Properties rented to the welfare area
- Commercial real estate
- Shared apartments
- Nursery and school buildings
- Cultural and leisure properties
- Administrative real estate
- Empty properties
Care, maintenance and upkeep ensure that users have the safest and healthiest working environment possible. The maintenance, repair and upkeep work and the on-call service are contracted out to Kemijärven Roikka Oy.
Continuous monitoring of the condition of facilities and responding to deficiencies is aimed at maintaining the best possible condition of the city’s property assets. Property automation is an ongoing area of development.
