Information about studying at Kemijärvi Community College

On this page, we provide basic information about studying and registering for courses at the Kemijärvi Community College. At the bottom of the page you will find the teaching times for the academic year.

You must register in advance for the courses – here’s how it works!

Registration for the autumn courses starts on 21.8.2024 at 9.00 and for the spring courses on 20.11.2024.

Course places are filled on a first come, first served basis. If a course is full, you are welcome to register for a reserve place. We will inform you if you are accepted on a reserve place.

Courses will only start if there are enough pre-registrations. Please note that by registering you commit to pay the course fee. In the event of cancellation, you are of course not obliged to pay any fees.

Enrolment to courses is easy

You can register for courses in three ways

  1. The most convenient way to enrol is through the College’s own course shop https://uusi.opistopalvelut.fi/kemijarvi/
  2. You can also call us and register by phone on 040 845 4166
  3. Or visit our office during opening hours Mon-Thu 9.00-11.00 and 13.00-15.00.

Please note that we cannot accept registrations by email, SMS or voicemail. So please use the above methods!

How to cancel your enrolment or drop out of a course

Once you have enrolled on a course, you are committed to paying the course fee.

CANCELLATION: If you have to cancel your participation, please do it correctly by notifying the Community College office the cancellation. Please see our contact details here. Cancellation must be made before the last day of registration for the course. The full course fee will be charged if the cancellation is not received in time.

DEADLINE: If you have enrolled for a course for the whole academic year, i.e. the autumn and spring terms, and you are not continuing in the spring term, you must vacate your place by the end of November. Notify the Kemijärvi Community College office of your interruption. See our contact details here.

Please note that dropping out of a course, not attending a course or not attending a course does not entitle you to any changes to the course fee.

Course fees and payment methods

PAYMENT LINK: Course fees will be invoiced primarily via a payment link that we will send to your email address. The payment link is used to pay the course fee securely in your own online bank.

PAPER INVOICE OR E-BILL: You can also receive a paper bill by post or an e-invoice to your online bank if you have signed an e-invoice contract with your bank.
