Kemijärvi Community College
College in the middle of the fells
Are you interested in spinning or would you like to learn how to make nutcakes? How are your first aid and dancing skills, or when was the last time you went birding?
The Kemijärvi Community College operates in the Kemijärvi, Pelkosenniemi and Savukoski areas, offering a wide range of learning opportunities. Its educational activities are open to all, under the umbrella of liberal education, with a focus on working and learning together.
We run the courses together with local residents and local teachers. Some of our courses are taught by experienced teachers from other parts of Finland. Together with the University of Jyväskylä, we organise screenings of the University for older people (https://kesayo.jyu.fi/fi/ikaantyvienyliopisto) lectures in Pelkosenniemi, Savukoski and Kemijärvi.
You can take part in our courses regardless of your location, age, gender or level of skills. We offer face-to-face and online courses. We offer a wide range of courses in crafts, physical education, languages and music.
Welcome to the courses!
