The Mayor is responsible for the administration, finances and operations of the city, under the authority of the City Council. He is responsible for the implementation of the city’s strategy, overall management, preparation and implementation of the city council’s affairs, vitality development, municipal lobbying and representation, and municipal marketing. The mayor is also the chief executive of the heads of department.
