Applying for early childhood education and care

The application for early childhood education and care must be submitted four months before the desired start date of early childhood education and care. If the need is due to employment, studies or training, the application must be submitted at least two weeks before the need arises.
Applications for early childhood education and care are made electronically via eAsioninn. To speed up the processing of the application, the application must be completed in as much detail as possible. It is particularly important that the correct number of hours per month is entered to ensure correct billing. eAccessibility provides access to the placement and payment decisions made for the child.
You can also apply for a service voucher for early childhood education organised by a private service provider via eActioning. The application for a service voucher is only made after the family has signed a service contract with the director of Pilkke. PAYMENTS
The customer fee for early childhood education and care is based on the size and income of the family and the time the child spends in early childhood education and care.
The fee for early childhood education and care takes into account the taxable income of the child, his or her parents or other carers, and of a person living with them in a common household in a married or cohabiting relationship, as well as tax-exempt income. CHANGES IN MONTHLY HOURS
If you want to change the number of hours allocated to your child, please fill in the paper form Full-time early childhood education is 150-180 h/month. If the child is in free pre-school education (4 h/day), supplementary early childhood education is usually 84-107 h/month.
IRRESPONSIBILITY
If you decide to place your child in early childhood education and care, the termination must be made using the attached form Termination of early childhood education and care place in municipal early childhood education and care.

Important information on the application
An application for early childhood education and care is used to apply for a day care centre. A separate application is filled in for each child. Incomplete applications will not be processed. It is essential to fill in the type of care, the type of care and the number of hours per month (number of hours).
The early childhood education fee is based on the number of hours chosen. The scope of early childhood education per month is defined as follows:
- Up to 84 h/month, 60% of the client fee
- Up to 107 h/month, 70% of the client fee
- Maximum 130 h/month, 80% of the client fee
- Up to 150 h/month, 90% of the client fee
- More than 150 h/month, the customer fee is 100 %.
If the need for early childhood education is less than the minimum number of hours (84 h/month), the number of hours can be reduced to 63 hours, 42 hours and 21 hours/month.
- Full-time early childhood education and care is early childhood education and care provided for at least 35 hours a week, with a maximum of 10 continuous hours, exceptions may be made for day care.
- Part-time early childhood education and care is early childhood education and care provided for less than 35 hours per week.
- Part-day early childhood education and care is early childhood education and care provided for less than 5 hours a day, every weekday.
- Part-weekly early childhood education is when a child attends early childhood education 2-4 days a week.
- Shift care is provided in the evenings, nights or weekends for those who need it for work or study.
The link at the top of the page will take you to the application form for early childhood education and care. The site redirects the user to an authentication site where authentication is done using, for example, bank details and a mobile certificate. The user is then automatically redirected to the eAccessibility portal.
From the menu, you can register for childcare, apply for early childhood education and care, register for pre-school education, and make placement and payment decisions for your child.
There is no separate preview option on the application form, but before submitting the application, you can download and check the application in pdf format: download application in pdf format After the preview, the form will be sent and you can print the application if you wish.
The application is processed by the Head of Early Childhood Education and Care, once the application has been processed and a decision has been made, the customer will receive an email informing them that the decision is available in eActioning. If you follow the decisions in eAccession and do not find the decision you have applied for, the case is still pending.
Changes to an existing placement are made on a paper form, not via eAssignment. You can find the form on the Early Childhood Education Forms page.
The supporting documents required for the application are submitted separately to the Early Childhood Education and Care Office as an attachment to the income information form or, alternatively, the income information form authorises the official to search for salary, benefit and pension data from the register of income. The income information form must be signed by both guardians and/or cohabiting/married partners; authorisation cannot be given on behalf of one person.
